Account and sign-in
How can I create an account?
Click "Register" in the top right corner. Fill in the form with your name, email address and password. After registration you can immediately start adding recipes and interact with the community.
RegisterβI forgot my password, what should I do?
On the sign-in page, click "Forgot your password?" and follow the instructions. You will receive an email with a link to reset your password. The link is valid for 1 hour.
Sign inβHow can I change my details?
After signing in, go to your profile settings where you can edit your name, profile picture, bio and other information. Changes are saved immediately.

Your username is based on your email and cannot be changed. However, you can edit your display name in your profile settings.

How does recipe rating work?
Signed-in users can rate recipes with stars (1-5) and add comments. Your ratings help others find the best recipes. The overall rating is the average of all ratings.
Explore recipesβWhere can I find my saved recipes?
You can find your recipes in the 'My recipes' section of your profile. There you can view, edit or delete them. You also see traffic and rating statistics.
My recipesβWhat photo formats can I upload?
We support JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP, AVIF and SVG formats. We recommend uploading high-quality photos with good lighting and composition for a better presentation of your recipe.
Can I share recipes that are not mine?
You can be inspired by other recipes, but we recommend adding only your own recipes or recipes you have tried and adapted. Always credit the source of inspiration if you use someone else's recipe.
Forum and community
How do I ask a question on the forum?
Go to the forum, choose a category and click "New question". Write a clear title and a detailed description of your question. The community will respond as soon as possible.

Yes, when creating a question or reply you can upload up to 3 photos. It's useful when you want to show a problem or the result of your cooking.

Be polite and respect others. Don't use offensive language, spam or advertisements. Help others and share your experiences. Read our Terms of Use.
Terms of UseβCan I delete my post?
Yes, you can delete your questions and answers. Click the menu next to the post and choose 'Delete'. Note that deleting a question also removes all replies.
Marketplace
Can I post listings for free?
Yes, posting listings is completely free for all registered users. You can sell, buy or exchange products related to food and cooking.

You can list kitchen supplies, appliances, ingredients, homemade products and anything related to cooking and food. Illegal products or services are not allowed.
Terms of UseβHow long does a listing stay active?
Listings remain active for 60 days. After that, you can renew or republish the listing. You can edit or remove your listings at any time.
How do I contact the seller?
Every listing has an option to add a comment or message. Contact details are visible only to signed-in users. We recommend communicating through our platform.
Security and privacy
Is my data safe?
Yes, we use state-of-the-art security technologies. Your password is encrypted and we never see it. All data is stored on secure Firebase/Google Cloud servers.

Your name and profile picture are public. Your email address is visible only to administrators and is not shared with other users. More in the privacy policy.

Yes, you have the right to access your data. Contact us and we will send you a copy of all your data in a machine-readable format within 30 days.

Deleting your account is permanent and irreversible. All your recipes, comments and listings will be removed. Contact us to delete your account.

The site is not working correctly
Try refreshing the page (Ctrl+F5 or Cmd+Shift+R). If the problem persists, try clearing your browser cache or use a different browser. We support Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge.
I can't upload a photo
Make sure the photo is less than 5 MB and in JPG, PNG or WEBP format. Try reducing the size of the photo or use a different format. If the problem persists, contact us.

Slow loading may be caused by your internet connection. Try refreshing the page or signing in again. We are working on performance optimization.

Is using the site paid?
No, Luke's Kitchen is completely free for all users. You can add unlimited recipes, discuss on the forum and post listings without any fees or restrictions.
Are you planning premium features?
At the moment we are not planning any paid features. Our goal is to provide quality services for free to the entire culinary community. Revenue is generated from advertising.
How can I support the project?
The best support is active use of the site! Add quality recipes, help others on the forum and share Luke's Kitchen with your friends. Your participation is the most valuable to us.

Can I use recipes commercially?
Recipes added by users are their intellectual property. For commercial use, contact the recipe author directly. For non-commercial use, you may use recipes freely with attribution.

Active and responsible community members may be promoted to editors or moderators. If you're interested in helping with moderation, contact us.

At the moment we only have a website, which is fully responsive and works on all devices. A mobile app is planned for the future.
